PTFE-faced silicone rubber septa are autoclavable, resist coring, and are recommended for use in all autosamplers using screw thread vials. Septa and liners can be laminated with PTFE on one or both sides to provide high chemical resistance and a nearly inert barrier between sample and septa material.
